Extension Of Validity Period Of Consent For Operation, Authorization In Andhra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board vide notification No. APPCB/Chairman Peshi/2021 has notified that in view of the extra ordinary circumstances the validity of Consent to Operate and Authorize of all industry/facility/establishment which were set to expire on 30th April 2021 has been extended to 30th June 2021. The Gujarat Factories (Amendment) Rules,2021
The Government of Gujarat vide notification no.No.GHR/202 1/39/FAC/14202 1/194/M3 has amended Rule 68-B of The Gujarat Factories Rules, 1963. As per the amendment, the personal protective equipment's (PPE) shall now be approved by the Chief Inspector of Factories and where PPE does not have relevant approval as per Indian Standards or not having approval from the Chief Inspector of Factories they shall be compliant; provided that they follow the EN (European Standard) or ANSI (American National Standards Institute) or ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards as the case may be. The Telangana State Pollution Control Board has issued notification for registration of Producers, Importers and Brand Owners (PIBOs) under the provisions of the Plastic waste management Rules 2016 as they are required to fulfil the Extended Producers Responsibility (EPR) for the plastic waste generated due to the products introduced by them in the market. The notice is issued by the TSPCB to inform all the PIBOs to obtain registration from CPCB/SPCB/PCC (as applicable). To this extent, they are informed to submit an application for registration latest by 15th May 2021. TSPCB has also informed that action will be taken against defaulters which may include levying of Environmental Compensation or even closure of PIBOs operation. Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board vide notification no. G-35356/Gen-24/Admin/2021, has taken the decision to grant permission for establishing and operation of life-saving oxygen gas plants in the state of Uttar Pradesh. For ensuring the adequate supply of oxygen in the shortest period and considering it as a topmost priority under the prevailing conditions of Covid-19 UP PCB has taken the decision that any new/existing industrial unit in compatible land use may set up Oxygen Gas production capacity by making application for CTE And CTO on Nivesh Mitra Portal at "https://niveshmitra.up.nic.in". This order comes into effect from 1st May 2021 and will be in force till 30th September 2021. Please refer the notification for more details

Maharashtra PCB Circular On Condition To Be Incorporated In The Consent To Establish And Operate
The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board vide circular No MPCB/AS(T)/TB-17 has issued a circular regarding factories, establishments that store/handle/process the Hazardous Chemicals stating that it has decided to incorporate the following condition in the consent to establish/operate/renewal, "The Industry shall obtain the necessary permission from the Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health (DISH)." Kerala PCB Notification On Refunding Of Consent Fee
The Kerala State Pollution Control Board vide circular no PCB/HO/SEE-3/TECH-01/2019 has issued a notification regarding refunding of consent fees. The following are the matters that were issued by the board: - (i) Integrated consent to establish applications, a one-year fee may be retained, and the rest can be refunded. (ii) For the renewal of integrated consent to establish, a one-year fee may be retained, and the rest can be refunded. (iii) For integrated consent to operate applications where consent to establish has been obtained, a one-year fee may be retained, and the rest refunded in case the project is dropped before the commencement of the production. (iv) No refund shall be made if the project is dropped after the commencement of the project. (v) No refund shall be made in case of renewal of applications for consent to operate. Kerala PCB Circular Regarding Sewage Pollution From Establishments
The Kerala State Pollution Control Board vide circular no PCB/HO/circular/2015 has issued a circular in reference to circular no. PCB/HO/SEE-3/TECH/6/2017 regarding sewage pollution from establishments. The circular clarifies the following point: Projects for which building permits or any other Licenses have been obtained from the concerned authorities prior to November 04, 2020, which specifies the minutes of review meeting for the sewage pollution from establishments, shall be exempted from condition (i) of the said circular.

Andhra Pradesh Revised Consent Fee For Oil, Gas Sector And Mining Projects
Environment, Forests, Science and Technology Department vide notification no. G.O Ms. No. 13 has issued the revised consent fee for Consent For Establishment (CFE) and Consent For Operation (CFO) / Renewal of Oil and Gas sector, mining projects/facilities/activities, etc., The revised consent Fee for CFE and CFO are annexed with the notification. It is also informed that the existing Oil and Gas Sector and mining projects, activities, facilities, etc., who have already obtained CFO of the Board have to pay the fee as per the revised rate only after the expiry of the remaining validity period of CFO.
